Sorghum

Sorghum, also called camel plant, is a genus of plants in the grass family. A type of cereal that is unpretentious, resistant to drought and yields well. It is also intolerable to waterlogged and acid soild, frost and cold. Sorghum originated in Egypt and spread throughout Africa and Asia. Today, it is one of the most important cereal in Africa. Eighty percent of the production of Sorghum is located in Africa and Asia.

Sorghum is used for many purposes such as the production of flour, starch and alochol. It does not contain gluten and sorghum flour is oftently used in mixtures for gluten-free baking.
