Canary seeds

Canary seeds (phalaris canariensis) is a herbaceous grass plant. The seeds are shiny brown and a bit bigger than those of millet. Warmth and moist soil are the main components to maintain a healthy growth of the seeds. It is now used commercially in several parts of the world for birdfeed. In certain parts of the world, such as Mexico, Italy and North Africa, it is also used for human consumption. In industrial setting, canary seeds are part of the production for cotton.
