Sainfoin

The sainfoin (latin name: Onobrychis) is a herb of the legume family. This plant can grow in any soil, except for swampy areas and lands where the water comes close to the surface. Unlike other forage plants, saifoin is unlikely affected by pests and has a stimulating effect on the soil, so no additional fertizilers are needed.

Saifoin is commonly used as a bee plant or for the production of animal feed. As for human consumption, the seeds are usually sold mixed with other seeds. In some cases, they are also used in medicine.
